Samsung is pretty big on durability these days. This made it easier for customers to repair their own devices. The company will also offer certified recycled parts to reduce the cost of repairs for customers.
In preparation for World Earth Day, the company has announcement a new collaboration with Sean Wotherspoon, American designer and artist. It has created a line of durable watch cases and straps for its products.
Samsung celebrates Earth Day with sustainable accessories
These Galaxy S21 cases and Galaxy Watch 4 bands have been made from recyclable and biodegradable materials. It’s a great initiative since the vast majority of these accessories are made from non-biodegradable and often even non-recyclable plastic.
Watch cases and straps from the Samsung Galaxy x Sean Wotherspoon Durable Accessories Collection come with matching watch faces that will be available for free download on Google Play.
The color combinations offered for these 100% biodegradable and recyclable accessories include pink, yellow and green. They are adorned with peace signs, images of flowers, the sun and planet Earth, in addition to slogans that tell us to “love the planet”.
This collection of durable watch cases and straps will be available starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET on Samsung.com. All products will go on sale for $49.99. A limited run from the collection will also be available starting at 1 p.m. ET tomorrow via the NTWRK app.
