ORGANIZERS of the 2021 Victorian Christmas Fayre in Worcester are looking for choirs, groups, dance groups, soloists and amateur ensembles to perform at this popular event, which regularly draws over 100,000 visitors to the city center.
Selected groups will be invited to perform for 30 or 60 minutes on the main stage in Cathedral Square or Bell Square in Crowngate.
The four-day event takes place between December 2-5. The deadline to register on the stage is next Friday (November 12) at 5 p.m.
Applications from schools are welcome – and performers can raise money for a charity of their choice during or directly after their performance.
“There is always a fantastic atmosphere at Victorian Fayre in Worcester; it’s a great opportunity for local bands to show off their talent and perform in front of a large outdoor audience, ”said Helen Mole, Worcester City Council City Center Manager, responsible for organizing the event. ‘event.
The Victorian Fayre was first staged in 1992 by traders from quaint New Street and Friar Street. The event has grown a lot but has stayed true to its traditional roots with many Victorian themed characters, festive goodies and a wonderful atmosphere.
This year, there will be nearly 200 stalls in the city center, selling local crafts, delicious street food and gifts.
