Bradford bands hold joint concert for BBC Children in Need

Performing at Bingley, Hot area!, Hall Royd Brass Band and Fresh Aire! took the stage for a special fundraising concert.

The bands were also joined by Ilkley Youth Choir, Ilkley Arrange Singers and the Bradford and Airedale Youth Choir.

The event raised £5,020.82 for this year’s appeal in total.

A spokesperson for the group said: “The atmosphere was electric.

Pudsey Bear studied all of our music and his choreography was just amazing. The audience was blown away and Pudsey was the star of the concerts.

“Each of the choirs loved the opportunity to perform in such a beautiful theater and there was a real buzz throughout the day. The children loved sharing the stage with Pudsey Bear and I thought it was wonderful when he joined in the actions and movements of their songs.

Linda Stafford, President of Hot area!said, “We thank over 150 artists who made this possible. children in need supports a range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, disease and trauma.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the concerts, including the companies who provided such generous raffle prizes.”
