THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS — Hear The Beatles like you’ve never heard them before when the Houston Symphony’s Classical Mystery Tour takes to the Pavilion Main Stage on July 27, 2022. Sponsored by Huntsman, doors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. performance which feature more than two dozen Beatles tracks performed exactly as they were originally recorded. Mezzanine and lawn seating are FREE. Reserved orchestra seats are available for $25 per ticket.
The four musicians of Classical Mystery Tour sound like the Beatles, but Classical Mystery Tour is more than just a rock concert. Hear “Penny Lane” with a live trumpet section, discover the beauty of “Yesterday” with acoustic guitar and string quartet, enjoy the classic/rock mix of “I Am the Walrus” and savor the crescendos of “A Day in the Life”. .” From the early days of Beatles music through the solo years, the Classical Mystery Tour is the best of The Beatles, but performed live with a symphony orchestra!
During pre-concert activities beginning at 7 p.m., guests are encouraged to enjoy an afternoon musical treat at the Chamberfest pop-up concert in the North Plaza. Students participating in the week-long Chamber Music Intensive at the Pavilion will present a special performance showcasing what they have learned during their daily workshops. Other pre-performance activities at the North Plaza include a special art project and sponsor activations.
Mezzanine and lawn seating are free for all performing arts events. Tickets for most performances are $25 for an orchestra seat. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy at their place or on the hill. Keep in mind that drinks cannot be brought to the Pavilion and picnics must also meet the Pavilion bag size restriction and/or be in their original packaging.
Families are encouraged to enjoy the magic of the arts with the Pavilion’s Mini Maestros Kids Club, a free and exciting program that makes the arts both fun and accessible to children of all ages. By registering for Mini Maestros, children will receive: a special membership lanyard and badge, free reserved seating at all performing arts events, early entry to Hocus Pocus Pops, a free ticket to the Festival children and other exceptional benefits throughout the season. Families can register their children for one of the Pavilion’s performing arts events this season at a special booth located in the North Plaza or online at www.woodlandscenter.org/mini-maestros.
Preferential parking is available at the on-site downtown garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $10 per vehicle for this event and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at Ticketmaster.com and The Pavilion Box Office. Guests can also park in one of the free car parks on Timberloch Drive, on the southwest side of the Pavilion. As a reminder, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – including the Pavilion ticket office – is a cashless venue.
