Short Review - Cloverfield »

Okay, well apparently Cloverfield is a piece of crap and I’m glad I didn’t waste my precious time and even more precious money going to see that turd box in the theater, because they don’t deserve my ticket money lol.

See, when Cloverfield first came out I thought, “Oh jesus, another We’re Douchebags horror movie.” and I wish I’d just kept that in my mind at all times instead of being fooled by the fact that the amazing Drew Goddard was the pen for this stinker. The concept’s not bad, and I agree that American should have it’s own Godzilla-like monster, but can we please have central characters who don’t annoy me and make me spend the entire movie going, “OH GOD, please just die already! Show me the monster before you go!”?

Disturbia - No Way! »

Well, I finally saw Disturbia, after over a year of telling myself I wasn’t ever going to see it because it’s a remake of one of the greatest thrillers ever made by maybe the single greatest horror and suspense director of all time, but, and I can’t believe I’m saying this - it was really good. So good, in fact, that I ended up having to buy it.

It’s all The Beouf’s doing. I blame him, because when he chooses his films they all come out like Transformers or Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls - meaning people complain about them, but when you see them you’re blown away. And a lot of times ( not in Indy, thank the gods ) Shia’s preformance is the only thing keeping the movie afloat, which is what happened in both Transformers and Disturbia. Random: Megan Foxx needs acting lessons, she’s gorgeous though but what does that help if she can’t act?

Anyway, all I know is that because of his stellar track record I’m definately lined up for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen ( Yay Starscream! ), Indy 5 if they make it and the upcoming flick Eagle Eye.
