Well, my cell phone’s broken, so feh! I hate that, because I was using it as my alarm clock and to tell the time and now I have to be on the computer here at work to be able to tell you, for sure, what time it is. I’d love something like a gorgeous new clock like my favorite, the beautiful Howard Miller Haverhill Grandfather Clock, but the problem is that even though you can get very inexpensive and high quality grandfather clocks over at 1-800-4clocks.com, while I’m only making $400-$500 a month at best, they’re more expensive than I can afford.
I love grandfather clocks. A friend of mine, Kay, had a big, beautiful clock in her parlor for years and years and, after her husband passed away, she sold it and made a lot of money off of it because it was an antique - I’d always admired that clock and wanted one of my own, though I’m not a big antique hunter and I’d much rather have something new, that I didn’t have to restore or worry about damaging. They’re so classical and lovely, and I’d love one with clock chimes because chimes are so serene. I love the idea of serenity in the home, I’m a big fan of all things ZEN and like to keep my personal surroundings peaceful and calm.
