Spring in Vegas
Out of all the neat places I’ve been in my life, in the U.S. few places topped Las Vegas in the late 80s and early 90s. There are, of course, many great things to do in Las Vegas now if you’re on vacation with a family but I adored Vegas before it became a family wonderland.
We used to go to Vegas a lot during the Spring and Summer, but mostly for a Spring vacation because it was always cheaper. Vegas was awesome, but we’d never gamble - well, my parents did but I’ve never been the gambling type. So Laota and I would hit the buffets and the midway at Circus Circus or watch the act, and the last time we went before the ‘change’ we spent hours just sitting in the dining area drinking soda pop and watching the trapeze family in their new, family-friendly and very tasteful version of an old routine. That was always a stop on our way to Anaheim to visit our family and check out Disneyland, Seaworld or get San Diego zoo tickets.
In fact Circus Circus is so much a part of our family that my Grandmother was married there - twice! But if casino’s aren’t your thing, and you’re not a retro lounge lizard like I am, you can always go on one of the many sightseeing tours that are offered by Trusted Tours & Attractions.
They offer discounted tickets sightseeing tours in 23 cities all over the U.S.A. and, if you sign up for their newsletter by April 30th, 2008 you get a chance to win a FREE Handheld GPS!
